Simon Chinnery hasn’t always been a painter. He did Art A level but felt under the shadow of his Father who who had gone to Chelsea Art College and went on to be a creative Advertising Director.

Following stint living in a Buddhist community he took up Ballet and from Brighton to London and immersed himself in all things hedonistic.

After training and touring for a bit with London City Ballet the natural next step in his life was….to work in the City.

Painting became part of his life again following a personal crisis that turned his world upside down.

“It was a long dark soul of the night thing. Think Gerald Scarf has a long lunch with Ralph Steadman and you get some way down that hole. I used inks and acrylic and lots of rage and I never showed anyone my monsters.” – Simon Chinnery

The Dotmaster, a UK artist, started painting on the streets of Brighton in the early ’90s. He takes a sideways look at a populist media with a typically English sense of humour. His work is impeccably detailed – his half-tone work, stark black and white street pieces and unique, photo-real colour stencils all create street-based illusions that fool the eye.
Invited to take part in Banksy’s Waterloo ‘Cans Festival’ and featuring in the Oscar-nominated ‘Exit Through the Gift Shop’, The Dotmaster exhibits internationally.

A driving force behind the Nuart festival in Norway, he has collaborated with grass roots activists, luxury brands, Glastonbury festival, weirdos, developers and drop outs.

“Finding all of my Grandfathers photographs in a box, neglected at the back of a cupboard during a visit to the family house confirmed my huge sense of purpose with a camera. I had discovered my inheritance. Already with clarity I had chosen photography as my career..with this discovery of these beautiful artifacts I was given confirmation that it is someone of my demeanour who has a responsibility to hold a mirror to society.”Gerald Jenkins

“The first time I saw a beer glass smashed in someone’s face I was five years old. I will never forget the sound; it was muted somehow like glass breaking underwater. I remember the screaming, that terrible, helpless, futile sound.”Joe Machine

“Growing up with Gender dysphoria I found that the twin outlets of art and the countryside of Kent, with its haunting landscape kept me sane. Exploring its grass covered lanes high up on the North Downs and diving into its mythic history helping to distance myself from the feelings I had about myself. These twin passions became combined and the resulting paintings in these rooms are the fruits of this.”  – Remy Noe

Jacob Smith a Devon based artist who began studying oil painting in his childhood. From the advent of his formal studies he had the patience for meticulous rendering and favoured subjects that emphasized his drawing ability. Since graduating from art school, Jacob has concentrated on gallery work and commissions. Smith draws inspiration from television, cartoons, news events, celebrities and religion. He uses iconic symbols and imagery from popular culture and remixes them to represent a personal ideal or cultural stance. He continuously explores these areas in his work; at times taking a dark and humorous approach, mixing religion with pornography or looking at the art world with a sometimes cynical eye. Using a traditional painting method Smith mixes styles from the old masters to Manga, creating strange juxtapositions and compositions, with interwoven layers of meaning.
